Positive Living Niagara provides a continuum of innovative and proactive approaches to harm reduction, prevention and a person-centered focus on support and education for those at risk and affected by HIV, HCV and STBBIs. StreetWorks needle exchange services are available to individuals who use drugs in the Niagara Region.
We provide a variety of syringes, safer disposal containers as well as other injection and inhalation equipment. People are encouraged to bring their used syringes to ensure proper disposal. StreetWorks also offers FREE training on how to use naloxone – a drug used to temporarily reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. Training is only 20 minutes and you will receive a free kit with everything you need, including the naloxone, which is now in nasal spray format. Training can be done in the location of your choice (in your home, our office). No health card is needed.
